This free image cropper works like the crop tool in a photo editor, but inside your browser. Open a photo, drag the frame or its handles, and download exactly the part you want. You can lock the frame to a ratio such as 1:1 for a profile picture or 16:9 for a YouTube thumbnail, or type the width and height in pixels. The picture is processed on your own device, so nothing is uploaded and there is no watermark on the result.
How to crop a photo

Tips for a better crop
- Line up the subject with the thin guide lines. Placing eyes or a horizon on a third usually looks more natural than dead centre.
- Cropping removes pixels. If you crop a small area from a low-resolution photo, keep "Original pixels" so the tool doesn't upscale and blur it.
- Save photos as JPG or WEBP for small files. Choose PNG for screenshots, logos or anything with transparency.

Is this image cropper really free?

Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. The image is opened and cropped by your browser on your own device. It is never sent to Quick Tools or anyone else.
Can I crop to an exact pixel size?
Yes. Type the width and height in pixels, or pick a preset such as 1200 × 630. The frame updates to match, and you can still drag it into position.
Does cropping reduce image quality?
Cropping only removes the area outside the frame, so the remaining pixels stay the same. Quality only drops if you save as JPG or WEBP, and at the default setting the difference is hard to see.
Can I crop a picture on my phone?
Yes. The cropper works in Chrome, Safari and other mobile browsers. Drag the frame and its handles with your finger.
Which formats can I crop?
JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF (first frame) and BMP. You can keep the original format or save the crop as JPG, PNG or WEBP. For iPhone HEIC photos, convert them first with the HEIC to JPG tool.
